Galaxy Note 2 Telco Price Comparison: SingTel vs Starhub vs M1

Thanks to all readers and fans who have provided useful tips on the price of the Galaxy Note II offered by all the 3 telcos. We now have the complete list of prices from all of them. How do they compare?

Cheapest or Basic Mobile Plan with data

Here, I am referring to iFlexi Lite, SmartSurf Lite and Value Surf+ plans offered by SingTel, Starhub and M1 respectively. Their monthly contract plan is $39.90, $38.00 and $39.00 in that order. It depends on what your criteria in picking a winner. If you are only concerned about the price of the phone you have to pay during purchase, then the 3 are tied. This should not be surprising to all of us (given the really 'competitive' telco landscape we have here in Singapore). But if you are looking at the total amount of money you have to fork at the end of your 2-years contract period, then Starhub is the winner in this category. Here is how they compare side-by-side.

Here, I am referring to iFlexi Value, SmartSurf Value and Lite Surf+ plans offered by SingTel, Starhub and M1 respectively. Their monthly contract plan is $59.90, $58.00 and $59.00 in that order. Again, it depends on what your criteria in picking a winner. If you are only concerned about the price of the phone you have to pay during purchase, then SingTel is the winner albeit by mere $10. If you are looking at the overall amount you have to fork out over 2-yeras, then Starhub is again the winner. M1 trails SingTel and Starhub in this plan category. Their handset price is ridiculously high compared to the other two. It is worth noting that other than price alone, Starhub's plan offers higher outgoing and data bundle with its plan. If you are usually paying around $60 for your telco bill and you are free of contract, you know which telco to choose if price is your single consideration.
